leighmoore
hi we were burgled last night and theyve taken the 2 cars, laptop, credit credits, cash, camera, etc, etc. the downstair alarm was on but theyve managed to do something to bypass it going off, although the alarm light was flashing when we came down! so, im now needing to reset the zones. However the manual I have doesnt tell me how to reset the zones. Can anyone help me to reset the zones so i can arm the downstairs when were upstairs asleep please? Thanks Leigh
topalarms
Sorry to hear about your losses, the fact that they were easily able to bypass your alarm really means that you need professional advice rather than just fiddling with it yourself. Weve had crime prevention round, new flush high security locks are now fitted and the only thing i need to sort out now is the zones. the one we thought we were doing wasnt activating the zone they broke into. so any help to reset the zones would be great! ive done a walk test and it all works fine but i need to make sure theyre all on one zone which theyre not on at the moment. Hello Leigh, sorry to hear about your loss, I've been there myself. What you need to do is definitely a job for a professional alarm engineer. The instructions are not in your manual for very good reasons (which someone will explain in detail if you really need to know - just ask) and are not available here either (please refer to the site rules). You should also get a maintenance contract on your alarm and get it set up properly; it's not that expensive.
