alterEGO Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 what about the batteries/battery backup ?? it runs out
satsuma01 Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 it runs out yeah then turning leccy back on recharges it classic "If you carry your childhood with you, you never become old. Why rush to end life when happiness is in the blissfulness of childhood innocence.""We all die, the goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will." 07475071344
amateurandy Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 OK understand your position. I can't afford a security engineer though, so I'm now left wondering wtf to do!!! Well you could get an electrician to disconnect it and wait for the batteries in the siren to run down. Might annoy the neighbours, but if you're lucky only for 20 minutes! (If you're really unlucky a lot longer it's deemed a noise nuisance and the council send someone round to disable it and bill you.) Or, probably for no more money, get an alarm engineer to set it up properly..... Question is, do you WANT a working alarm in future, or not? If not, as Angus had said, the solution is relatively obvious and in your own hands once you've safely disconnected it from the mains.
