Sophie Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 We had a power cut yesterday and now cannot set the alarm. The Alarm went off for approx 20mins during the power cut then faded and stopped. Since the power came back I have been unable to set the alarm, the mains light is lit on the panel, and the key presses make the usual sound and illuminate the panel when pressed, but that is all that happens. The Number 1 LED is usually lit but this is now off. I'm going away tomorrow and am worried that I won't be able to set the alarm!!! The alarm is: C023-203 Iss 1 Any help would be appreciated. Sophie

Sophie Needs an engineer. If you had the system serviced every year you would not be in this position now.
leesutton Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 as mentioned you really need it servicing. you will need a new battery and your code reprogramming, what area are you in and an engineer in your area may see your request. lee Lee Sutton E-Mail: leesutton@centurianfire.co.uk Website: www.centurianfire.co.uk Phone: 0845 094 9870 CENTURIAN FIRE & SECURITY (part of centurian group limited)
Sophie Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 Thanks for the advice. Looks like an engineer it is then - any idea what cost to expect for a service and new battery? (Its a single zone with two sensors) We inherited the alarm when we moved in - like many people that have posted we were left no manual and were lucky to get the code via the Estate Agent. The alarm never figured as something to get serviced anually - like most things - until something goes wrong! To any Engineers in Worcester, tomorrow morning would be marvellous! Sophie

Sophie Hi Sophie, my advice is be prudent and get an approximated quote before asking anyone to attend, at this short notice and at this time of year it is not likely to be very cheap as most of us are totally rammed with work, and we don't want any upsets regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
