Guest rhodesmi Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Hi, 5 years ago I installed a Veritas Alarm for my in-laws and forgot it came with a lifetime labour and parts warranty. The latest fault is an intermittent alarm due to Tamper. I thought this would be straight forward to fix by wiring out half of the tamper cicuit to find which half was causing the tamper but even if I install a link between the 2 Tamper terminals on the PCB it still goes off intermitantly. I have checked the 12V rail which is OK. I have re-set the alarm and performed a total power off/power on. Am I missing something obvious? in advance.
Service Engineer Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 It could be a Bellbox tamper as opposed to a detector Global tamper.... So have you tried looping out the bellbox tamper..? ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
ian.cant Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 If you have tried linking out both tamper ccts then it must be the panel pcb thats knackered!
