cjd Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 hi folks. been trying to tidy up a few things with my galaxy 60 panel. am not certain if the backup battery is working or not. its a new battery and the fuse is ok but when i turn off the supply power to the panel, the keypads etc don't stay on, upon restorationt everything configures ok and all the settings are correct etc. is there a prob with the PSU or something else.? any suggestion of how to test etc. can't remember the version number of hand but know that the main board and PSU board are separate. will find out version if it helps. thank's guys craig.

alterEGO Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 is the battery connected, sounds daft but i've seen it before. once had a customer we quoted for, but they decided to install them self, rings us back in the end saying he has progged it all ect bell works in test, but just can't get any zones to trigger. we say

cjd Posted December 27, 2007 Author Posted December 27, 2007 two fly leads from the PSU board, and im 99% sre it has a fuse and it ok. will check for certain tomoro but any other suggestions if its not that. have put the old battery back on it and because the batt is low the power light on the keypad flashes slowly like its supposed to to warn of low battery.
magpye Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Don't forget, all new batts. should be charged for 24hrs before installation ! Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
cjd Posted December 27, 2007 Author Posted December 27, 2007 that's one thing i didn't do!!! is there much point in that now?
