satsuma01 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I once had a battery with the terminals the wrong way round what do you mean angus the battery terminals was the wrong way round or the battery was connected to the panel the wrong way round? cjd Posted December 27, 2007 Author Posted December 27, 2007 have put meter on battery an it's about 12.7volts. have put the meter onto the charge leads with the battery removed and there's nothing, but the fuse is ok ( system recognises when the battery is removed though but flashing the power light on the keypad.

cjd Posted December 27, 2007 Author Posted December 27, 2007 what do you get with the battery connected but no mains ? - probably nothing above 8v if less then its a dead battery battery on its own with nothing connected no even the system is reading 12.7 volts. i've put the meter on the end of the fly leads withthout he battery connected and there's nothing - which i guess mean there's nothing going to the charging circuit. fly leads are ok no damage to them. im stumped as to why it's not charging and why the battery won't give its powe to the circuit. have put the battery back on and put the meter across the fly leads on the actual pcb and i get a battery voltage. im clueless now. any ideas what else i can test/measure resistor voltages etc. etc.
