Davet1 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Whilst removing tiles in kitchen, had to remove wall mounted movement PIR which triggered Tamper alarm. Silenced with own code. Moved PIR a few times triggering Tamper again. After 3rd time re-attached sensor to wall but am now unable to set alarm. Keypad is quiet and LED's scroll through zones when setting. Re inputting code stops scrolling but there is no sound. Can anyone tell me what I have done and how to rectify my self inflicted problem. Thanks

Thanks sounds to me ( though others might disagree) that you`ve blown the fuse in the control unit - maplins sell them apparently

Guest anguscanplay Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Thanks for that. I will investigate in the morning so that I do not offend the neighbours if anything goes off! if it was going to sound outside it already should have but no worries
Davet1 Posted January 8, 2008 Author Posted January 8, 2008 if it was going to sound outside it already should have but no worries It did when I was trying to sort out what was wrong. I couldn't reset it or stop it and it sounded for 5 minutes, the shortest setting. An additional thing that I have noticed is that there is no power going to the PIR's. ie no 'red led' when moving near them. Suppose this comfirms a fuse failure in the control box.
