james69
Hi, I have just had my hall re-plastered and the plasterer removed my sounder for my alarm system (scantronic 9651) the problem is that he has removed the wires and there are now a green and a white cable (from the wall) and I'm not sure which one is the + (suspect that it's the white one) Is this simple enough for me to re-wire or will I have to call out the engineer? Many thanks James

Many thanks James is it a sounder or a Loudspeaker ? sounder will have a printed curcuit board in it but a speaker (shut up Arf !) will usually just have a chocblock type connector ? if its the latter then it doesnt matter but if its the sounder you will either need to check the same connections inside the panel OR test it with a test meter if your alarms on service then you HAVE to pay the firm to call and do it - sorry

So it's best to give the installation firm a call because it's under a service contract.? James
Alarm Protection
You may get charged for this but it is better to give your service company a call to check the system. !
