Hi Guys, i need some help.

I have a building with multiple venues, which has 2 Aritech CD72 systems which are linked together for comms i believe but their are two charges for monitoring and service.

The first system has an amusement arcade and a snooker hall set up as two seperate areas. The other system is for the nightclub. I would like to know if these systems can be linked together or all connected as one unit, so i get one monitoring and service charge?

I would like to move away from our current national installer, and take it local.

We now need some aditions to the current system, as a new gaming area has been created from a previously unprotected area, I also need a bell box moving.

So what i need to know is how many zones and seperate areas the system will accept and if what i am proposing is acceptable.

Any help appreciated, Also if any installer that covers Bognor Regis wishes to quote then let me know.

Thanks

Glenn

hi glenn,

Aritch as well as there are several panels from different makers will fit the bill for multi systems off one panel,

what you ask is not difficult to achieve technically, but you really need to get in reputable local companies and ask their views and advice from being on-site.

although speaking as a small bespoke company myself, given the risk and the systems potential complexity i'd have to recommended the bigger well established companies, just for any backup resources that could possibly needed.

if your main thrust is to save on monitoring by combining systems, something you need to consider carefully is the false alarm issue, if say the casino gets a spate of them for what ever reason, the whole complex may be blacklisted by the local Police leaving you without cover.

post the location i.e. Leeds, York then those in that local i'm sure will contact you

Hi Glen,

Have a word with your present alarm company before you try a local company. Ask them to quote on fitting a CD95 in place of one of the CD72 & replace the 2nd CD72 with RLEs. This is one way of getting you down to only one form of signaling & one panel.

I don't know who your alarm company is but they may not fit the CD range anymore, if so then they may quote using the aritech ATS range. In both cases you will be staying with aritech which means that your existing device wont need to be configured for a different make of panel.

Top tip: if you ever catch fire, try to avoid seeing yourself in the mirror, because i bet thats what REALLY throws you into a panic and dont forget the one thing you cant recycle is wasted time.
