dance Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Hi, I have always planned to add a CCTV system to my home and now I've done all the other jobs and decided to do it! However after speaking to a friend I'm seriously considering adding a remote monitored solution with speakers as to me it sounds a great way to prevent any issues. Anyone else got experience with this type of solution? Thanks!

You have a break in, alarm sounds and signals you, you watch and listen to your house being wrecked by a drugged up nutter. Or, pay an alarm firm to install a monitered alarm system that calls the police if you get a confirmed break in? Have a CCTV as well recording but the alarm is more likely to deter the break in IMHO, the CCTV if installed well will help the police catch and release the nutter after feeding him. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is like a box of chocolates, some bugger always gets the nice ones! sjonley Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 i'd speak to a couple of Central Stations first and get an idea of monitoring prices. I think you'll be surprised on the cost excluding the actual equipment. A couple to be going on with: Guide: http://www.guidesecurity.co.uk/guidemonitoring.html Visual Verification: http://www.visualverification.com AIM (Tyco): http://www.aim-monitoring.co.uk/ Please read the rules with regard to business advertising.
