luggsey Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I can always nip over into my neighbouring EU state (ROI) and buy diesel at 80p/litre,thus getting me cheaper diesel and avoiding the chancellor at the same time! Can you register tax and insure your car over there as well to get it cheaper! I would! We have a drum of red diesel in the yard (we run a tractor and a JCB BTW.) which we got for 50p a litre, makes me want to spit paying tax everytime I buy fuel. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is like a box of chocolates, some bugger always gets the nice ones! arfur mo Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 how about building some recreation centres or getting activities sorted so these kids dont turn into mindless thugs? it does focus them - especially on smashing up the buildings and/or beating up the staff regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
arfur mo Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 I'm with luggsey - get some police on the streets and deal with the asbo fodder or it's everyone for themselves in stopping the yoof takeover and if that means bombarding their earoles so be it. even when the cops do move them on, they just return a little later, if arrested they get of with cautions. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

arfur mo Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 That is how they work for a maximum of 20 minutes. ,i listened to nick on LBC , guys as mad as me (so no recommendation ). he went off on one in the supporting of the use of them, personally i think they should be limited by license or perhaps come under planing permission. they don't affect me directly (no sense or brains so what could?) but perfectly innocent people are affected by them. i liken this to the 4 wheeled 'tart cart' fitted with 1zillion watts stereo drowning out your house conversation from 15 streets away. so as that is, surely this is noise pollution and could be fought with that legislation? as it is at the moment, i think anyone can fit them, and no limit on just one unit, so anyone could have them installed and for no other valid reason other than just because they want to. so now think a little deeper, what about neighborly disputes? there could be a over the fence war, one opponent decide's to use them to upset the next doors kids. mind you, if there is a complaint once noticed by the older residents, a copper should be able to hear it - as they are all under 25 so then, it's not so 'cut and dried' now is it folks? anyone know if they can be 'read' on decibel meters? regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

arfur mo Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 So do you blame the goverment or the baby boomer generation or both?I personaly lay most of the blame at the feet of the sh1t Labour goverment and it's inability to get things right. Who voted Labour I always ask? Nobody I know voted Labour but they are still in power.....dosen't make sense to me, everything is going up in cost terms, inflation even, measured by the "New Labour Formula" can't hide it any longer. Anybody know the "true" inflation figure as measured under the old RPI index? I bet it would frighten you if you knew what it was! Oh I'm ranting again because I'm so p1ssed off with this bloody goverment!! DR Spok has a lot to answer for imo i come from the eara where i was cained at school, usually deserved it for pranks. general misbehaviour and insubordination (but i bet you won't believe that ), on average 3 times a month. coppers would give you a thick ear or a kick up the backside instead of 'seeing your dad'. thinking back, i even got threatened with calling the police for doing or not doing something or other very minor by my mum, or i'd be put in a home. so just wanted to say all that mental anguish without any crisis counciling for my oversensitive feelings i can say did not affect or harm me in any way, regs alan (i'm still the same troublesome obstinate know it all i always was - just older and even more stupid) If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
