bomber
I having trouble understanding the manual for set zone attributes. The problem I have is with zone 1 (front door) and zone 2 (lobby pir). I have set zone 1 to FE and zone 2 to ER but when i set the alarm zone 2 beeps as i exit and once armed zone 1 instantly triggers alarm on re-entry. All entry exit timers are set to default settings. The manual says use zone attribute x7 but how do you set it to x7, in installer mode I select that zone firstly it lets you edit zone name then edit zone type. What am i doing wrong, all help appreciated.
FASTCAR
Probably a programming error. Maybe you have missed a stage or a tick. By default the panel should work as you require , so I would crash it and start again.

Are there any other detectors covering the enterance..eg another room picking you up through an open door ? If you are still having problems then deault the system back to factory default. As for zone attribute x7 , That is for shock sensors only (vipers) If this will not put it right ..get back to us. Reg Bob.

bomber
Thanks for your replys, zones definately working on walk test,no other sensors in same area. As for reseting do you mean the full reset by shorting the pins out to reset all codes aswell. Many thanks

Many thanks It sounds as the entry timer doesn't start when you open the door. Then the pir pick you up and gives full alarm. Does the entry timer start when you open the door ? If not take the contact off and twist the alarm pair. Cover the pir with a sheet of paper to stop it going off. set the system, untwist the pair and see if the entry timer starts. If it does start then change the contact. Try this and get back to us. Reg Bob.
ViperMK2
Default settings are: Zone 1 is Final Exit Zone 2 is Entry Route Make sure you have labelled the cables right, you may have them in the wrong zones and the door is on zone 2 which would instantly activate when opened. As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a godless, uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh, haven't you?
