Bell Box Problem When Heavy Frost

Hi,

Anyone able to give me some advice?

During the early hours when there was a heavy frost one of my two bell boxes (Tate) of my intruder alarm (Melcom) started intermittently sounding for short bursts (few secs max) in no regular pattern. It went on for a few hours and now it has stopped - ?starting to warm up?.

I tried putting the alarm on engineer setting, however despite this it continued to sound.

I assume that it must be a local fault in the bell box which hasn't triggered the tamper loop. What is the likely problem in your experience?

Thanks

Chris

Some bell boxs dont have a cover over the circuit boards and over time the board and sab module get damp and short, get a decent bell box......... risco or texecom

as above, risco sounders had a fault a while back. if it drops below -6 the sounder will chirp.
