arfur mo Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 part of any alarm systems efective deterrent is its outwards appearance, as that aids it's credibility in being a deterrent to an intruder. by having a well known diy brand on the over is like giving away a basic guide how to defeat it. by 'default' it's not a pro system but a diy one, so likely to have some quant implementations like detectors fitted upside down, or the 'engineer' gives up and leaves it disconnected. so you would be far better off installing a plain cover imo, even if a dummy as prevention is better than detection. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
