Specialist Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 There's two systems which spring to my mind when reading about these experiences. One is a guy in his eighties. I've known him a few years, and it seems he was visited a while back by a sales guy who convinced him he needed a security system. He ended up paying installments of Customers Love us, Intruders Hate us.
Specialist Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 its sad when you hear of these situations, im in no way an engineer and have mananged to install a pretty good system with no faults (bar line fail, due to no telephone line atm) but it works and works well. my panel is now neat and tidy, a little excess cable under the upstairs floor but left incase i damage any cable doing decorating work... The lad thats fitted that should be sued... ! a disgrace to himself, hate people that pray on the elderly... really isnt on. Hope you can sort it all for them without too much of a problem mate and not too much cost I will probably get slated for this but what the heck, just because you are a DIYer does not mean you cant install a perfectly adequate domestic system, but as your reply shows, you have the intelligence to realise that this doesn't make you a security engineer. Just to let you know I have spoken to the old ladies family today and they told me to rip the old rubbish out and fit a proper system for her, they will foot the bill. They are also going to a solicitor about this and will try to recoup some of her money. Regs:Andy. Customers Love us, Intruders Hate us.

But being a Paramedic is a more than worthy occupation & you have my greatest respect, I hope you do well. It is not something I could ever see myself doing as having to deal with sick & injured kids would be too much to stomache. Regs: Andy. Customers Love us, Intruders Hate us.

(Spose me having a baby when i saw the mess doesn't count). As for picks they wont need them as they prefer to remonstrate with him personally. Regs:Andy. Customers Love us, Intruders Hate us.

Although I have been in the trade for many years I do not profess to be a leading expert in the field, like yourself I believe in doing a good honest job as i was taught from a young age that if you are going to do something then you do your damndest to do it right first time. Some ex colleagues called me over fussy & finnicky but this is the way i prefer to be, I detest having to go back to a job before the first service is due. Regs: Andy. P.S Keep smiling mate.
