How Do I Switch It Off?!

Hi,

I have bought a house with an accenta alarm, which we have the code for but don't use as we have got cats that have free run of the house.

What I want to know is how to switch it off.. properly.

I am trying to decorate my kitchen and stip the wallpaper and a motion detector is in the way.

When I tried to open it to take it down the alarm sounded. This gave me zone 3 and tamper lights which (I think) I cleared by pressing the reset button. I tried to take it down again (yes I know! but I thought I had properly disabled it this time) alarm sounded, code entered etc. However I cant get rid of the tamper light on the panel this time and I seem to have a blue flashing light outside my house! oops..

Can anyone tell me how to reset the bleeder, and also how I am supposed to take the things down without waking the entire neighbourhood? My boyfriend and cats are all sulking at me now and I'm not allowed to touch it unless I know what I'm doing but I refuse to just wallpaper round it :P

Many thanks in advance,

Fum x

not really as I`m sure you`ll understand why

Hi Fum,

You cant have an off switch because an intruder could just switch it off.

Basically we cannot give you info to switch off for the reason above, but there is no way you should be paying

In Reading - there is a phone number on the box outside so I guess I will call them.

And I didn't mean to switch it off when armed.. surely only a really thorough burglar would be looking to dis-assemble the alarm system so he could pinch that too! :P

Thanks for the replies

you dont have to call the original installer, most companies will offer a discount to fix if you take up a maintenance agreement
