marksandsparks Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 My wife forgot to set the alarm to Part Set last night and it triggered in our bedroom. I knew the alarm had activated because the Communicator telephoned me. However, the internal and external sounders did not activate - UNTIL I started to enter the code to reset it. I have set the alarm and made it activate using different zones and get the same result. No sound until I enter the code. There is no message displayed prior to entering the first digit of the code. Any ideas as to what is going on. I did recently move two of the sensors whilst decorating but can't understand how this could have affected it.

marksandsparks Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 is it remotely monitored or is it just one that rings numbers - who fitted it? No it's not monitored, I fitted it at the same time as the alarm, but I'm not concerned about the communicator. I only mentioned the communicator because that is what let me know that the alarm had activated. The problem is that on an activation the sounders are not activating until I enter the code.
marksandsparks Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 It doesn't matter now, managed to contact Texecom who talked me through resetting to Factory Settings and now works fine.
