aileinomuireasain Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Hi Guys, From past experience of using this forum I found it very good for a fast response. I recently purchased a Texecom Speech & Text dialler to use in conjunction with my Texecom Premier 24 panel that this forum successfully helped me set up! I am just having a little problem with connecting the dialler to the panel itself. The phone line connection is straightforward enough. I'm surmising I use the connections on the panel 1 2 3 4 5 6 L/M RR DC- DC+ The connections on the dialler are 1 2 3 4 0V 12V but it also has Tamp(x2) OP1- OP2- Mic I can gather that the Tamp connections go to the auxiliary tamper circuit on the panel, and the mic connection will be unused because I don't have the remote microphone unit, but as for the rest I don't want to do anything wrong. The manual advises the premier panel trigger inputs are programmed for -ve operation but I do not know if I need to make use of the supplied resistor because I don't know if I need an NC loop or an NO loop. Can anyone help me please? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Regards Alan

aileinomuireasain Posted March 12, 2008 Author Posted March 12, 2008 output are programmable, do as you desire? So do I need them? Are they used for other devices? I still don't have a clue how to connect the dialler to the panel.
djrock Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Hello, On the dialler 1,2,3,4 are the inputs. 1 Fire, 2 PA, 3 Intruder, 4 AUX. If you just want Intruder and PA you wire input 3 (speech dialler) to programmable output 3 (the panel) then you wire input 2 (speech dialler) to programmable output 2 (the panel). I have both manuals and they do tell you what you need to know except if you need a resistor or not. I don't think so but wait until the experts answer. djrock

Gees Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 the tamper loop should surely be in series. A parallel connection would render BOTH loops inoperative unless they where both broken.
