breff Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Contact your supplier for technical support, they should be able to assist you. what make of dvr and what software by the way! The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
iSTORM Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 and downloaded a software for 16channel network viewer Is it the correct remote viewing software for the dvr you own? As already said you should ring technical support or post the make and model of the dvr and i'm sure some body will be able to help you. My Name is Iain iStorm Security Solutions Visit My Website
sjonley Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 you will need to port forward the router from a fixed ip address (supplied) from the isp to an internal lan ip address (dvr ip address) see www.portforward.com select the guides referenced your router and then look down the list and look how your router is setup for various programs. Contact your supplier for technical support, they should be able to assist you Good advise by iSTORM but I will be surprised if the suppliers will help you. I mentioned a static ip address from the isp. Port forwarding is easier to setup within the router with a static ip address than a dynamic but there may be a cost implication with obtaining a static ip address from your isp. The attached file will give you an idea of what is needed.
