mase2hot Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Hi, ok well I moved into my house 3 years ago and it had this alarm but I didnt have the code, so I never used it. One day the power went and the alarm went off, I could get it off so I disconnected the power and battery and this solved the problem. Ok so now I decided I better use it due to more crime in the area. I reconnected it but its dead. No power lights nothing totally dead. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking that if the battery is knackered then it wouldnt power up?? J
arfur mo Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 this panel is famous for not powering up with a duff or flat battery connected, either call an engineer (best option) or go down to maplin's and buy a new battery, replace the old one with it and connect using all caution while inside the panel because of the potentially lethal voltage's within and/or dropping either of the batteries on your foot or knee. being down powered for such a length of time, may be the programming has been lost, also the battery in the external siren may also be shot, shorts on cables and may have been introduced due to laminate floors or building works, even if not do you have the user codes? - should i go on? regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
