Hi please help this sleepless mum!

Have verits 8 alarm fitted a couple of years ago, everything fine until we have had new kitchen installers in, unsure if they have cut a wire or what, but unset light is flashing and no matter how many times we have entered code and reset, cannot seem to stop it or unset code, and alarm keeps going off every few hours! husband has had to turn off power to stop it during night! Please help if possible!

Thanks

Get an engineer out to have a look, the cable/detector in the kitchen must be damaged. So the panel will have probably blown a fuse and will have that circuit in tamper. You will get a call out charge but its no major job to put right and then you can get a good nights sleep.

Paul.

Top tip: if you ever catch fire, try to avoid seeing yourself in the mirror, because i bet thats what REALLY throws you into a panic and dont forget the one thing you cant recycle is wasted time.

The unset light flashing means there is no mains power to it or the battery is knackered.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

Agreed, make sure you get a detailed report from the alarm company and claim the costs back

pointless - they will just ask to see the most recent service docket, I`m guessing the O/P hasnt had it serviced recently

Rubbish!

everything fine until we have had new kitchen installers in,

Find the fault - show its as a result of the kitchen being fitted - charge the kitchen fitters.

right - and how many "faulty...." central heating systems have you had to pay for this year

of course not, your assuming (one of the 7 sins)

the fault could well be the battery is knacked as Breff sugests - is that the kitchen fitters fault ? or should the O/P have had the alarm serviced before the power was switched off

Waffle based on nothing, o/p says the fault existed before the power was switched off - try to read the posts and answer according to what's written rather then your own hang-ups.

you`d do better to follow your own advice instead of getting a hard on every time you see I`ve posted, your nothing new

the O/P has had a fault since around the time the kitchen fitters were in, as he says himself " I dont know if they have cut a cable or something...."

better men than you have pointed out it COULD be the battery (as the indication on the panel is as such) and as I replied to camerabloke - your wasting your time if thats the case, the kitchen fitters will not accept responsibilty.

now as the mods have said to you before - you can either ignore me or not thats your choice but the continual attempts to belittle and insult are boring, your not one of us, you never will be - your just another chancer who`se been given a second go as a member - dont blow it like you did on the other sites
