zs123 Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 hi all, just got my D4 and i was wondering how you can connect it to a normal tv via rf or scart? it only seems to have bnc outputs for a cctv monitor? thanks
digitalwitness Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 You can connect to a TV using the AV input on the television (red, white & Yellow Phono Connections) red and white are audio and the yellow is video. This is a composite signal input similar to the BNC output from the DVR (although terminated differently). You could also get a SCART to AV adaptor that would convert the SCART input to the phono inputs mentioned but make sure its an input adaptor as SCART is two way, most good TV shops will stock these. You can also get the adaptors with trailing leads, leaving you needing just a BNC phono adaptor. You cannot use the RF input, this is incompatible without modulating the signal from the DVR.
zs123 Posted April 17, 2008 Author Posted April 17, 2008 brillliant thanks all up and running got a weird prob with but will post new topic.
SUBS Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 COP make a good modulator, pity you cant switch off the termination though. So if your using one of theses and a monitor you will need to feed it from the monitor loopthrough and switch the monitor termination off. I recently used one of these, fed into the aerial feed to a block of 8 flats, so that the tennants can all view CCTV, and I was really impressed with the pic quality.
