Scantronic 9800 Part Set

Hi all. I've just been out to a 9800+ system which required reprogramming following some internal building works. I need to point out that I've only ever worked on one 9800 before and generally not much time on Scantronic, tend to stick to Texecom. All was going fine until I tried to program one zone as walkthrough on full set and final exit on two part sets. This doesnt seem to be possible from reading the installation notes. I think that Scantronic were still manufacturing these panels until late 90's or early 000's - surely this must be possible to do ? The other less palatable alternative is that I can't read manuals !!

Thanks

Neil

You can only program which zones are active in which part sets on a 98. You can't chose alternate zone types for each part set.

yes you could on an old 9800 - select the zone type as " access.. " then select the access zones as either imediate or entry / exit in part set, if it stops raining I`ll go to the garage and get the actual numbers

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

Part Set (Commands 60 - 63, 70 - 73)

Commands 60 to 63 program the Part Set functions for area B, commands

70 to 73 carry out the same operations for area C. Each command controls

the following:

Final Exit Response (Command 60/70)

Commands 60/70 control how the system will treat Final Exit zones during a

Part Set. When the command option is set to 0 any Final Exit zones included

in the Part Set areas will continue to act as Final Exit zones during

Part Set B or C. When the option is set to 1 any Final Exit zones included in

the Part Set areas will act as Normal Alarm zones while the system is Part

Set.

Entry Route Response (Command 61/71)

Commands 61/71 control how the system treats Entry Route zones during

Part Set B or C. When the option is set to 0 all Entry Route zones included

in the Part Set areas will continue to act as Entry Routes during Part Set.

When the option is set to 1 any Entry Route zones included in the Part Set

areas will act as Final Exit zones while the system is Part Set.

Exit Mode (Command 62/72)

Commands 62/72 specify the exit modes for each Part Set area.

Option 0 makes the Part Set Area use the same exit mode as Full Set

Option 1 makes the Part Set Area Instant Set (no exit buzzer)

Option 2 makes the Part Set Area Silent Set. The Exit time is the same

as that programmed for Full Set.

Alarm Response (Command 63/73)

Commands 63/73 specify the alarm response for each Part Set area.

Option 0: Keypad bleepers only

Can someone please tell me when the Forum Rules were changed?

Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
