petet9000 Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I have a Vista 4110UXM system with two 6127 keypads. I've enquired with my alarm service company to see if it's possible to extend the system to add a wireless keypad / keyswitch or remote control (avoiding a really awkward long cable run) so that I can exit / enter by a different entrance. They only seem to want to sell me a completely new system (including ripping out and rewiring all of the existing PIRs and contacts) costing several hundred pounds. Can anyone offer advice on this? Surely there's a replacement panel or some sort of module out there that will accomodate this without changing all of the existing kit? Thanks for any advice, Pete.
Alarm Protection Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Hi Pete, Risco do a Nova 4 wireless receiver that can be added onto any alarm panel. Add up to 4 wireless contacts. Hope this helps !

Is it a new unit, or very old? Also, will I be able to use it for a wireless keypad or is it only for detectors? Thanks Pete.

Many panels do however have the facility to set/unset using keyswitch and if the Vista has that capability then it would be possible to use a universal wireless receiver (scantronic or visonic for example) connected to the keyswitch inputs at the panel. You could then use a keyswitch connected to a universal transmitter to set/unset or alternatively use a remote keyfob.
Alarm Protection Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Pete, GX Security sell them on the net. You cant add them on with wireless RKP's. !
