lawandorder Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 had an electrical failure in the entire barnsley region early this morn, since then the tamper light wont go off , so i cannot set the alarm, out side alarm box continually flashes tamper light What lights are showing on the remote keypad? Is the mains light on, if so is it on permanently or flashing?
kka Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 may have blown a fuse on the board, bell one for instance...it may be worth you while to get someone in to check it out, when was it last serviced, it may need a new back up battery.. beware mains voltages kills when in contact with humans...always isolate trhe mains feed before opening any alarm box.... Guest anguscanplay Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 you need a new battery and the system power cycling Angus
james.wilson Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 If the sounder is showing it has a tamp fault. I assume one of the leds isnt flashing, then i doubt its a fuse problem else th eother light wouldnt be on. Did you do anything else duri9ng the power failure, ie mess with the external sounder? Looks to me like you have a sab tamper securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Guest anguscanplay Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 everyone need to go back and read this thread again mains fail this morning ? tamper light on since ? strobe flashing since ? panels been powered up with a dead battery and locked out, it cant be reset so it cant stop the strobe flashing - its as simple as that
