leesutton Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Look on the keypad to make sure there isnt one of the buttons stuck down as this can cause a problem, if not when you enter your code what happens? lee Lee Sutton E-Mail: leesutton@centurianfire.co.uk Website: www.centurianfire.co.uk Phone: 0845 094 9870 CENTURIAN FIRE & SECURITY (part of centurian group limited)

I have checked the buttons and they are ok. Nothing happens when i enter the code. There is no bleep from the buttons nor the 30 second exit tone. The power light and my day light are on as normal just no response from the keypad.
Alarm Protection Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 The panel might need to be re booted and the battery replaced. For the money it will cost around !

Any help is much appreciated. hi mate. this is quite an easy fix. the panel has locked up. most likely reason its done this, is cause it needs a battery. best bet is to get yourself a new battery first. you will need a 12volt 2.1ah or 12volt 2.3ah battery. you can get them from B&Q. once you have got the battery . best way is to switch the mains off in the property or if there is a fused spur for it remove the fuse , wait a few secs then turn it back on. at this point the panel should burst into life. now go to the panel and enter you code. the noise will now stop, and you will be left with a tamper LED on the panel display. then its time to refit the new battery and put the panel cover back on. press RESET , and that should be you sorted. if your not to confident in doing it yourself, call for an engineer. hope this helps. ....... ps- ade stopped making this panel 2-3 years ago, so maybe worth getting it serviced anyway. up to you. steve
