DGMarsden Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 Definately trade only. Best to protect texecom's interest too. Dave
Guest pactech Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 I have a very similar story to add to the madness, When I was an apprentice I was working with another engineer fitting the big (elephant catcher) 60m dual techs in a sewing factory. As the job proceeded me and the engineer must have been discussing setting the range of the microwaves (being the good installers that we were not leaving them on full!) because a few hours later a serious looking lady and the managing director approached, she introduced herself as the union representative, I asked what could we do to help them and was told that the 200 workers were getting ready to call a strike due to the company fitting harmful microwave oven type detectors that could fry their brains. After a lot of reassurance and our supervisor (a very rare occasion that he left the office) having to come to site and having to explain the difference between the power of a microwave oven and the power of the detectors and have a meeting with all concerned a strike was averted.
