TSS Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 what made me laugh was that a company I used to work for thought we were all fiddling mileage, so installed trackers, the HSE popped in to do a spot check, looked at the tracker reports of the oncall chap during a stormy month and flipped his lid.... Then we got the minimum 5 hours between last call and starting work and a buddy system so we had a backup if we got too tired... Now (different company) everyone is on call (available) but we take it in turns to have the pager, thus only one person is disturbed - if he is busy or too tired then someone else takes on the job - no one takes the micky so it works well and we all get well paid. (It doesn't half throw the customers when they ring up and get one of our admin girls at 3am!!!) TSS Communication is "A question asked, and an Opinion given." I offer mine to help you with yours.
