emsgeorge Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 I've already taken the dome down, its now 1 metre away from the dvr ! And its addressed as '1' - I've double checked the dip switches and it comes up on the boot up screen. Ive installed loads of domes before - but we prefer to put them through a matrix, and then loop out to a dvr. Ive used the DS2 loads as well, but this is the first time in about 5 years Ive had to marry them up together !. As we are so close to LJD, i'm going to see their tech specialist with the kit. Luckily, its all rack mounted, and designed to be moved as part of this events system !. Thanks guys for all your help - I will go in the next couple of days, after checking the sprite is actually outputting telemetry (I dont want to look stupid !!!) I will post back with the solution once I get it sorted - so if anyone else comes up against this, it will hopefully be simple.
SUBS Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 thats a very handy tip,in have used my dvm which has frequency measurement, send data can be seen on it changing slightly. regs alan Never tried it, but I'm told that you can 'hear' rs485 if you connect a telephone earpiece, from a D/E handset across it. Why is it that we can store info like that for years, but never remeber how to program anything without the book.

At first, a person with Alzheimer's disease will remember even small details of his or her distant past but not be able to remember recent events or conversations. Over time, the disease affects all parts of the memory.
arfur mo Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 PMSL good one and you probably have a point, but i got plenty of spare recent memories i can shed and still be useful - if i can just remember them rightly regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
SUBS Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Did a call out at a medical centre last week, while there I picked up a leaflet about altzheimers. Keep forgetting to read it though.
