My alarm sets, test and everything it should do - even walk tests

However, if you enter the premises the bleeps start and the countdown starts, goes to double beeps and then when it should fire .. nothing .. no sound, just a light on zone one on the keypad ..

I must have set something .. not sure where, I have found the guide on the web, but I can not access option 5 .. under the engineers menu .. the menus jump from 4 to 6 with no 5 ..

help please ...

Is it that you cannot hear the externall bell sounding?? If you go into test mode and activate the bell does it sound?

When was the alarm last serviced????

Does your external bell have twin flashing LED's on it that you can see??

Set your system ommiting zone 1 and when set go into activate the lounge PIR. Does the system sound outside??

the LEDS are fine, the panic circuit works fine, and yes - if I arm it z2 and and above activate the alarm and the bells outside.

It must be a setting on the Z1, that sets off a silent alarm ... but not sure how it got like this ... it is the 1st time since Xmas the alarm has fired really, as I installed the circuits using magnetic contacts whereever possible to avoid false alarms with the PIR's etc ..

so in short yes.. the whole thing does it job .. just z1 doesn't ..

the alarm has only been installed since Xmas 07
