erk108 Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 i am installing the 9651 panel and using the FSL wiring to detectors.The problem i have is that i want to use the 8 zones on the panel and use the PA connection on keypad for panic alarm button.I cant get this to work even with the link disconnected on the keypad across the PA terminals the panic alarm is not registering.Do i have to enable PA on keypad through programming but cant see how.Can anyone please help.Dont really want to program one of the zones as PA if i can help it.Thanks.

Alarm Co Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 i take it you are on about pa on keypad using two of the numbers 1 and 3 or 7 and 9 there is a comand in programing you have to enable for this to work is it 87 ??? from installer mode

Guest anguscanplay Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 IIRC from the last time this question was asked - you have to enable 1+3 on the keypad and enable audible panic ...... if your sure you`ve got that right and you havnt got a test meter its worth connecting the panic to a zone on the panel to test the actual button works
erk108 Posted June 8, 2008 Author Posted June 8, 2008 IIRC from the last time this question was asked -you have to enable 1+3 on the keypad and enable audible panic ...... if your sure you`ve got that right and you havnt got a test meter its worth connecting the panic to a zone on the panel to test the actual button works the keypad i am using is the 09943EN which has both Panic I/P and ET terminals on the keypad circuit board.ET terminals were shorted took short off and this is working says tamper keypad on display.Panic I/P terminals are shorted too took short off nothing happens.page 17 fig 11 of manual shows you can connect external PA to keypad.Do i have to connect a panic button to test or just shorting and unshorting terminals should test connection on PA.
