mrtester Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Hi, Can anyone help please? Just installed a gardtec cp8 eurosec panel on existing wired system. back and front door E/E, liv room access pir, kitchen access pir several window magnetics on 12hr and garage door and pir on 12hr. One RKP in kitchen with G tag. System sets ok and walk tests ok. But log is recording aux volts lo and charge volts lo every hour?? The furthest pir from panel, which is in the loft, is the garage approx 25metres away and I have 13.2 volts on the supply here. I have now disconnected the garage pir supply and supplied it from a 12 volt power supply plugged in at the garage but still the fault is being logged?? Why... why.... Thanks.
Guest anguscanplay Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 I`m confused - the cp8 doesnt (last time I used one) take tags or log volts however if its a cpx then you need to reset the limits from within the diagnostics menu

Right, diagnostics menu. Just had a peep inside. Makes sense. What do you recommend the should be? Aux at 14 max, 11.8 min? And charge at 14 max, 13.2 min? Or what would you put in there? Thanks for fast reply and help. I thought I had a short/low resistance somewhere. .

Set the limits to max allowed and min allowed, just checked the log tonight, 24 hrs after parameter change and all is well! Now have put the pir power supply back on the aux output as well. Thanks again. Best wishes.

arfur mo Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 did you fit a NEW battery or use the old one? or did you run the system for a considerable time on battery? if so it will take time to recharge assumming the battery was a god one to start with regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
