Hi All, My Ex-Boss once said "why can't you repair my TV ?, It's just the same as an alarm-a series of electronic circuits".

I no longer work for him-for obvious reasons!!!.

As previously said-we all specialise in our own fields-but we will help in any way possible without compromising safety and security as far as we can .

Yep, I realise that. Just that my sis is not having it easy right now and the expense of an alarm tech won't help her. I am electronics engineer in lift control systems so well qualified to llook at an alarm, just don't have a lot of time to get to grips with it. I will do a few checks and if all fails will rip it out and stick a new one in! I found a manual on line and see there is a routine to omit the global tamper to temp stop the nuisence triggers so will do that right now. for all help on here. Apprieciated.

lol, good luck. Think back on your lift training when you open the panel, i'm sure it will help no end.

I will use my alarm c & g cert next time i need to do a bit of plumbing.

I fully agree, thats why I am asking on this site, I am ok with the basics - its just electronics, but need pointing in the right direction from the specialists in your field.
