Guest Martyn B Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 I'm trying to change my user code on the Veritas R8 panel. I followed the user instructions but it didn't work. I've got 2 entry panels, one at the front door, one at the rear. Will this make a difference, and if so, what else do I have to do? Many thanks in anticipation. Martyn B
Deltaseven Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 The number of keypads should make no difference - its the software of the main panel which determines the programming. On most Veritas panels, enter your code, then press PROG( listen for a ding-dong sound), then 60, new code, prog (ding-dong), reset. If when you press PROG the first time, you get a buzz instead of a ding-dong, then press the 0 button twice - you should then hear the ding-dong. Then press 01, new code, PROG (ding-dong), reset. This applies to older panels. Hope that all makes sense... D7
Guest Martyn B Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Thanks D7 That worked fine. Hadn't realised the age of the system made a difference. My manual is post '99 (obtained from the web) but my system is pre '99. Feel more secure now. Martyn
