Hi i have a 595 control panel and i have zone 1 contact on chime which is the front door set as type entry exit as standard, i have also a contact on zone 4 at the back door of the house and it is on entry exit as well but when you enter the back door there is no chime even when the chime is on but with zone 1 the chime at the front door comes on im just wondering is it possible to have a chime set on zone 4 as well on this panel i have engineer code as i installed it and i have eng manual but dont see anything relating to setting chime on multiple zones i dont know if this is a possibility.

Anyone familuar with this panel may be able to talk me through this and that would be great, if theres an option of course !

Thanks again guys,

Look forward to hearing from you soon!

Kind Regards,

On the 580 You have to set it up on zone programming attributes, it is in the eng manual if you look at the flow chart for zone types and attributes

you will need the engineer code 1st or you can't alter it, then you need to be very very careful once 'in'.

just do it EXACTLY the same as the way as zone 1 chime but you may want to have the rear door make a different sound - "chime 2 ...." instead

Just assign the chime attribute to all the zones you want to chime under "Program Zones; attributes". You have a choice of two different chime tones (CH1 and CH2). Make sure both zones 1 and 4 appear in either CH1 or CH2 and that chime is enabled in the user menu.

Miss this bit Arf?

sorry guys, phone's been ringing like its on heat tonight

need to remember, gardtec menu's are a bit confuissing to those new to them - and even many an alarm engineer.

the need to say 'NO' in order to change and open an option seems apex about face, but when you realise there is a ? mark it is like asking is it ok ok or not ok, which as you want to change something what is there already is not ok so you would respond with 'NO'

so @NNNN@ (eng code)

"PROGRAMS ZONES Y/N?" = YES

"PROGRAM TYPES?" = NO

"PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS?" = NO

"PROGRAM ATTRIBUTES?" = YES

now press YES until it shows -:

"PROGRAM CHIME 1?" = YES (for two tone noise or NO!).

enter zone number and YES, it will appear in the window to confirm, so repeat above as required.

to remove a zone enter zone number and NO!, repeat as required

or when done press yes

"PROGRAM CHIME 2?" = YES (for lowering scale down tones noise) or NO!

enter zone number and YES, it will appear in the window to confirm, so repeat above as required.

to remove a zone enter zone number and NO!, repeat as required

or when done press yes

to escape out of programming press '0' several times

menu may be a bit different to above depending on the version of your panels software, but the gist is the same.
