Barsnake Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Your thinking og 9800 programming which i must admit so was i until i searched through my computer files to find a 9100 programming manual (considering that at one time in my career that was the only panel i used i was surprised i had forgotton!!).with regard to the omit problem jquin, assuming that you have programmed exactly as shown the only other bit of advice i can think of is make sure that you do the omit procedure immiediately after putting in your access code otherwise it won,t be accepted (within 3 secs i think) and assuming all your zones are closed a "O" (for zones ommitted ) will show in the screen prior to it setting/exit noise stopping. Also if you check the log it will show you the zone being ommitted. the part set option is the best way of doing the job tho - that way your zone 4 area is still protected when you set it at night. good luck Paul Def 9100 the 9800 Does The OA Bit (4 NA A B C OA) Angus As Just Posted Same (04E41E)
Guest anguscanplay Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Angus As Just Posted Same (04E41E) not quite - you dont press 04 just 4.
black knight Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 as much as it goes against my principles (LOL) - do it like thiszone number , enter , 4 , 1 , enter which is what he was doing apart from he is using 40 . And on checking my pdf of the original manual that is what it says Unfornately (or forunately depending on your point of view) i don,t have even one of these excellent panels on my current 'area' so i can,t test it!! Checking the log or making sure he does it within 3 secs seemed the best advice. hoefully he'll let us know if doing it 'your' way worked and the manual is wrong. Barsnake Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Think it habit to prefix single numbers with 0 It does still get the 4 flashing tho
jquin Posted June 21, 2008 Author Posted June 21, 2008 Great - thanks for all your help. It's working fine with Part Set now (I also did 62 and 65 so it correctly gives 20 seconds on the front door). Just one last question if you don't mind. This zone 4 is obviously now totally unset so there's nothing to remind you in the morning that the alarm is on. While I'm sure we'll get used to remembering to switch it off first thing, in our last house we had the stairs PIR with a 20 second delay (like the front door). Is this possible with the 9100? Thanks in advance...

Thanks in advance... you can programe the first zone you would come to in the morning to start the timer - select it as type "entry route ..." and enable entry route to act as final door (IIRC scantronic terminology)
