alicat502004 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Looking for clues, if any one can help! I need to disable the alarm as I am having a new kitchen fitted and they will need to turn the power off..only problem is that turning the power off means the alarm goes off... and my neighbours aren't going to be happy! Same problem happens when we have a power cut.. is there a quick way to disable the sounder?? Regards Alicat502004
Guest RJBsec Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Disabling advice is not given out on the forum - a local engineer could help you.
james.wilson Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Agreed, for obvious reasons we cant discuss how to disable anything security related, regardless of reason. You need to call your service company anyway as an alarm shouldnt activate when the power is removed. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
Guest anguscanplay Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 if you just turn the power off the alarm should stop after 20 minutes - no different to if it activated when you were out of the house and the neighbours don`t have any grounds to complain your bigger problem is the systems likely to crash when the powers reapplied
james.wilson Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 might not though, depends on its age and if it has a timer securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
fertilebert Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Why do people keep asking for advice on how to do this?
