fletcherhay Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Hi All, Yesterday when we went to leave the house the control panel next to the door wasn't working. No lights flashing, nothing happening when we pressed the set button or the number pad. It's as if there was no power to the unit. Now we've not been in the roof or playing with any other electric in the houseso are mistifyed as to why it's not working. We opened the primary panel to check the battery & the alam triggered. We had to disconnect from the main power to shut it off. Have plugged the battery & mains power back in but the control panel remains blank. The montion senors are still working (I think) will check them tonight to see if the red indicator light is still working. Can anyone help. Thanks

Thanks Removing power should not 'shut it up', you need an engineer to call and investigate - it could be as simple as a new battery and a fuse but be prepared for the need to have the panel replaced.
fletcherhay Posted June 23, 2008 Author Posted June 23, 2008 Thanks for your reply. I was hoping that a tech might not be necessary but if that's the way it's got to be then that's the way it's got to be. There goes $175 for 30min that I'll never dream of earning. LOL
