Hello to all

Just joined the forum to see if I could fix the installed alarm in our new house , looks proffessionally fitted with Ademco keypad and Accord box , the numpty nut spark has left the power off since last wednesday during a new kitchen ring installation , called in tonight and switched back on the power after ringing him to make sure he had not left anything live and the alarm went off , user code would do nothing , upset all the new neighbours , alarm now playing silly buggers and doing nought , was working perfectly and beeping on entry etc , suspect an engineer code or a series of **## s' needed to reset , downloaded user instructions as no docs came with house , no local contact details on any of the components , any assistance much appreciated as I don't want to have to install a new panel and bellbox and trace out all the pirs and door switches as her indoors has just finished decorating and the boards are freshly screwed down and new carpets fitted.

Great site had a good read of many areas as I have installed quite a few alarms over the years , only used domestic 6/8 zone kits from city electric etc not the high tech stuff you boys do , also found some good jokes for e-mailing tomorrow !

If I can't resolve it by the weekend , I'll be up the ladder with the earmuffs and sidecutters on Saturday to remove the bell, which will be fully charged again by then !!

Best Regards

Nat

how did you get it from "upset all the new neighbours....." to " alarm now playing silly buggers and doing nought ......" ?

Angus

Alarm stopped sounding after 20 mins , strobe not flashing as is normal after an intrusion , panel lit as normal with nothing highlighted , but the user code is not setting the system .

Best Regards
