lowlofe Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Hiyar all! Right just brought a second hand dm ds2 off *sigh* eBay. Ok its all well and dandy. but i cant seem to access the menu... at all! i have never used any dm equipment so i really have no idea here. also i cant seem to find a manual that refers to my exact unit and ideas? regs alex
Chorlton Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 You said ebaY only joking maybe someone will lend a hand hang around and have a bit of a search too (top right corner of the screen) C.
james.wilson Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Assuming they dont have their own software in em... I have no idea, pressing the menu key should get you in, or holding it down depending on it age. If its got passwords in it, im afraid your stuffed. ssedd Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 If it is in a beige box it is probably a DS1 if you hold the menu button in for a couple of seconds it should take you into the menus
lowlofe Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 It has the yellow box software version. usually if you press the menu button it only cycles through a system overview (alarms and camera fails) then setting the time and date, then the schedule. thats it :/ regs alex
ssedd Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 On the older systems pressing the menu would take you into a couple of pages but if you hold the button in it for a couple of seconds it will take you into the full menus or come up with a password screen if it is password protected.
sjonley Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 If the ds is password protected, like redbull says your stuffed! When you press the MENUbutton, does it ask for a password? To remove the password would require going back to dm i'm afraid via an installation company / cctv distributor. On the off chance that they may be able to help ring dm. Whatdoes the manufacturing date say? on model number label. see (www.dedicatedmicros.com) for tel number etc. If you email me, I'll ask a couple of mates at dm tech if they want to earn a bit of money. this may save you a considerable amount of money.
