sasa Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Help me. We have install Galaxy 3-520C panel with 30 RIO modules, 4 PSU modules and 6 keypads. Without known reason all keypads occassionally start to beep continuously with short breaks once per second. There is no message on LCD, no event in the LOG, no communication attempt to alarm receiving centre. The only cure we have found is complete system reset. During keypads beeping everything else works fine. Time to fault can be several hours or several days. I have been watching signals on all four RS-485 busses and everything looks OK. When we measure RS-485 communication by the control panel itself, all RIO modules and all keypads communicate 100% with the control panel. What to do?
kka Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 be patient, it looks like all the galaxy men must be at work, try back later. somebody may be on a early finish... Kevin Scott. Owner of KK Alarms...... james.wilson Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 How are the keypad outputs programmed. Id suggest its a programming error. Have you restricted your keypad outputs to only activate on the group they are programmed etc etc Do you have any timers setting other groups etc. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
The Max Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Check the parameters option 51:63 Banner Alerts, If im correct I think that if this option is disabled then their is no indication at the keypad apart from audio only, when enabled select parameter option 69 alert indications and select how you would like the indication to be show at the keypad. If no event is being shown in the event log then check parameters option 48 : 2 Unset Alarm limits as no event is logged after the alarm limit has been reached. Regards Max
james.wilson Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 would be in the logs though. But you are right you cant let the keypads display anything to level 1 users. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
