Have an ATI Series 6000 wireles alarm system to reset.

Apparently the system had been switched off for several months and now the panel cannot identify the PIR, Zones, etc.

I believe the company has been taken over and that a programmer may be required.

Any one have details of how I can sort this one out?

Is the programme available anywhere? PC compatible? connection details?

Thank you in advance.

Hello TiggerAlarm,

The 6000 is now obsolete and Ati were bought first by Protection One then by //.National Installer.//.

PM 'Biker c' he used to work for Ati and may be able to help.

Hi, TiggerAlarm,

If i can be of any help i will. Is the panel a 6000 AM or FM, Have you replaced the Back up Battery it's in the bellbox ?, Try replacing one of the sensor batteries 9v PP3 to see if it reregisters, You can tell if it is AM or FM, the FM sensor when taken off the wall has a coil accross the top and the AM has pots.

If the panel needs reprogramming you will need a psion programmer with installed software the only people that now have these are //.National Installer.// as all were handed in, and if any spares are required for the AM they are virtually none existant though you may still get some FM spares again from //.National Installer.//.

It's very hard to judge whats happening without knowing what the panels saying, let me know how you go on.

PS Where are you based I may know some one who could help.

Biker C,

The sensors are FM.

The control panel was functioning, but had lost all memory of the zones set up and the password access. The sensor appear to be functioning. The panel has now frozen.

Display reads "SYSTEM UNUSABLE - MEMORY FAILURE" "CALL ENGINEER 0161.."

I have checked the battery in the bellbox and the senors. All are ok!

Possibley ready for a new system!!!

(Note I am based in Sheffield)

cheers,

Looks like you may be a lucky man?, Bellman will probably know Dave ex POne engineer and may have access to a psion programmer if they havent fazed them out.

Have a word with Bellman as i think there are only 2 ex Pone engineers left working for //.National Installer.//. If you have no luck there and //.National Installer.// no longer keep any spares or programmers for the 6000 series i'm afraid it's an upgrade. :(
