Arv
hello guys Can anyone please advise as what the problem could be, I have a Scantronic 9751 panel connected to a Texecom 3E bell box & the bell will just go off for no reason without any faults/alerts on the keypad. The only you can turn the bell off is by disconnecting the 12V supply to the Bell Box. Entering customer/engineer codes do not stop the bell either. The System was installed about 6 months ago, but the bell problem has only happened now. Also I have replaced the cable to bell as I thought it might be damaged bit as it was run in the loft. Any suggestions please Thank You Arv
The Arab
Sounds to me like a faulty bell module, does it do it in damp weather or heavy rain as if so it could be that the module is tracking across and causing the bell to ring. You can try disconnecting the on board battery of the module as a quick fix and monitor to see if it still happens, but i would be changing the complete siren/bell unit or if you can get one a sab module. Unless it's a scb unit? Trade Member
