magpye Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
Chorlton Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 How does he replace his 7.2v SA battery with a 12v 7Ah panel battery then? They don't, I mis-read the question. Sort of thing that's easy done when you have 40 unread posts and 6 PM's to go through in 1/2 hr after getting in from work. But thanks for the correction I'll bear your comments in mind fagpye. You're gonna have to get the ladders out either way! got to be the way to go, 8 years on it will look a bit tatty by now, possibly corrosion of the pcb will be found and likely just getting the lid screws out will need 2 tins of WD40 . battery may have expired by natural causes, but if the board is shot and overcharging it the new battery won't last that long so imo why run this risk? new siren = far better technology = and job done for another 8+ years for perhaps If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
