How many of you have had a speeding ticket issued as a result of triggering a speed camera, and just paid up ?

I had one recently, claiming that I was doing 46 MPH in a 30 zone, - not in my own car, which is fitted with a GPS warning device.

While I knew I was probably over 30, 46 seemed a bit high, and as there is a petrol station only about 50 yards from the Camera, the automatic doors of which used to set off my Snooper, I thought I

In the past 5 years I have thrown a spanner into the works 3 times due to admin errors, and local authorities have simply not bothred to reply or take it any further.

Will have to see what happens next. I have a clean licence, and I plan to try and keep it that way.

If everyone made em work for the money, instead of rolling over, IMO the system would probably grind to a halt, and as speed cameras become less profitable we'd probably see less of them.

D OH!!! I do about 45k miles a year , and guess what there is a speed camera not 100 yards from my house , and like a pratt i sailed through at 37mph . ah well !!

I wonder if it complies with the manufacturers reccomendations, ie; if at 100yds away a car parked on your drive could cause reflections that might affect the calibration.
