james.wilson Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 you can either get skyhd but all the transmissions are currently 720i only way to play 1080p is with a player, so if it were me id build either a pc (vista) or use linux, as posted before linux mce is designed for this securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

james.wilson Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products...;l=en&s=dhs but id look at a silent one if its going in the lounge, depends on what you wanna do with it really. You will need hdmi really for hd, you can do it without but i think some disks require it securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

Football will be 720i for example but films made in 16/9 1080i format should be broadcast in 1080i. There was talk of complaints when the bitrate was turned up in 1080i as some SkyHD boxes couldn't handle it and jammed! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is like a box of chocolates, some bugger always gets the nice ones!
