Does anyone know what L means ? Is it some sort of zone monitoring and maybe stands for low battery or something however the contact was just put in last week with brand new battery ! any suggestions would be much apprechiated ! Guest anguscanplay Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 " L " means loss - says the manual check your reciever and zone RRSI readings again. Remember ALL zones need to be 10 above the threshold, which is the next highest figure after the reciever RSSI. if the`re within limits try a new battery Angus
wilks121 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Ive had this a couple of times. Bump up your threshold to 24% if its as most people leave it, at factory 16%. Problem solved.

Hi i have put this up to 24% and i am still getting the same problem any other ideas ? Kind Regards, Jack Buchan JDB Solutions Web: www.jdbsolutions.co.uk E-Mail: jack@jdbsolutions.co.uk
arfur mo Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Hi i have put this up to 24% and i am still getting the same problem any other ideas ? if you have one swap it over with a reliable transmitter form another zone, or if not replace the transmitter seems you next move. depends whats between the tx and panel or close to either, i.e. if you have a modern built home the plasterboard walls it may have the metal facing for heat retention and fire retarding, which also reduces the signal received. "noisy" sources of RFi like an old freezer nearby. Gardtec do have a tech help desk - see web site or back of manual regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
BUSTER Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 From the installation paperwork Check supervision time and if required move jumper in detector to fast mon (signals sent every 15 minutes Any comments / opinions posted are my opinion only and do not represent those of my employer or Company
Hugorune Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 Had similar problems occasionally. As Alan said, supervision loss is no comms between panel and detector. Adjusting supervision timer upwards may solve problem, but if it can't communicate for 1 hour why will it then communicate later. Either a faulty detector (most likely) or signal path problems (worst case scenario). I would change the detector first but if that doesn't resolve the problem then you're faced with the problem of resiting either the detector or receiver. Good luck.

Hugorune Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Starting at the start is always a good idea. Though I've never been able to start anywhere else
Guest anguscanplay Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 Though I've never been able to start anywhere else LOL - I have a few subbies who always want to start in the middle, then wonder why they don`t seem to get finished.
