arfur mo Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Well I have read just about every topic on the board and I If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
Rulland Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Why go for a Premier 168-168 zones and numerous areas etc is a bit OTT for a domestic(and expensive), Go for a 24 with an 8 zone expander leaves further zones for future proofing. Richard.
hpotter Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Thanks Chorlton.... I did start with the route in the first place even though he is a very good and experienced electrician for over 30 years and has all his certificates ..he

kka Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 are you a peasant? regs alan the way things are going Alan, my next home may well be a igloo... As you say you have wired in place and in the future would like to add wireless then the CPX would be the best as their wireless range cannot be beaten. 8 wired zones then 8 wireless via a wireless expansion unit plus keyfobs onto that. The unit will also call your mobile via the vo comm built into the panel if the alarm activates. if you use EOL it becomes 9 zones ( and if you really fancy a challenge double EOL will take it to 18 zones) and you still have 8 radio on top.....not for the faint hearted mind, and a challenge if yop have a problem..... no1son Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 no wonder you could not find a thread to match your question, tbh no1son you might as well ask us what car you should buy as your washing machine mechanic will be servicing it.as with all things each company/engineer will have his preferences and sing their praises accordingly, these days many panels will fit the bill, but to understand all the technical info will take a decent trained alarm engineer, as sparkying takes a decent trained electrician. so best idea is get a few quotes which are normally free from local companies, better still one recommended to you by a a person who's opinion you trust, that way you will lilely get more accurate advice tailored to your needs and risks. regs alan lol ..no I'am ok with cars ..infact one could say iam quite patriotic.. I will let you guys know how i get on With a few quotes.. didn
