g4vjc Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 The insistance of consultants in putting beacons in disabled toilets for example that gets my goat - why would a hearing impaired person need to use a toilet with disabled access provisions when they can quite happily walk into the male or female toilets.Beacons in all toilets would be better practice and one that I do if required. I think this has been addressed indirectly by a different route as under Part M of the building regs it's a requirement that beacons are installed in all toilets (disabled or otherwise)....however many consultants still seem to be unaware of this.
