Guest Roy Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I have installed a new Visonic Powermax in our house and I want to use the existing 12V outdoor-siren. The siren has got four connections: 12V, COM, GND, N/O. Which connections should I use to connect the siren to the powermax-system??
FASTCAR Posted June 11, 2004 Posted June 11, 2004 You really do need to know , as the Powermax has quite a low output , and will not support a strobe or SAB.
roatanflyer Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 I also have a Powermax Plus that I just finished installing and I purchased a UPG 15 watt outdoor siren, it is a two tone siren with three wires. I do not care about the two tone so I twisted the 2 colored wires together and used a 2 conductor wire to connect it to the Powermax. My choices are HOLD,EXT,INT,+12V,+12V,PGM to connect the 2 wires to. I used EXT & +12V. The siren only beeps once when the system is armed and twice when it is un-armed but does not sound when the internal alarm is going off. I think I have it wired correctly or it wouldn't sound at all, but maybe I have not programed it correctly? Help
james.wilson Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 im guessing its not a visonic sounder? what are the 3 wires marked as? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
